1. Position: Project Coordinator- Child Poverty
> Number of Vacancies: 2
> Terms and Location: Fixed Term, based in Sarlahi and Mahottori under Eastern Field Office (EFO)

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Project Coordinator – Child Poverty will show/demonstrate significant experiences to developing and implementing Save the Children’s strategy for Child Poverty interventions under Samunnati Program ensuring that they are institutionalized within the existing project cycle management. The position holder will have a key role in establishing and ensuring project implementation quality and innovation in the district including designing, planning, budgeting, capacity building, monitoring and reporting. S/he will be specifically responsible for technical components of Child Poverty interventions within Samunnati programs of Sarlahi district. S/he will focus primarily on providing technical supports to partner NGOs in designing and implementing both on-farm and off-farm Child Poverty interventions as guided by Save the Children’s strategy. S/he will be more engaged in providing hands on technical supports to PNGOs staff volunteers and farmer groups to help in implementation of all Child Poverty interventions in Sarlahi. S/he will also be responsible to strengthen partners’ capacities through training, coaching and backstopping to deliver the program effectively.

S/he will also have innovative and relevant ideas on development of effective options for Child Poverty promotions for poor and ultra-poor communities of the project areas. S/he has to explore affordable and acceptable options for sustainable Child Poverty options for the marginalized communities at the fields in close collaboration with relevant and like-minded organisation and stakeholders i.e. Rural/Municipality offices and its relevant units, I/NGOs and in well consultation of the Supervisor and the Technical Managers. S/he is also responsible for ensuring quality delivery of inputs at implementing sites to maximizing impact and achieving value for money. S/he ensures quality monitoring, financial supervision & backstopping, data/OPMIS management, documentation and the relevant logistics arrangements in close consultation and supports of Line Manager. S/he will provide technical guidance to utilise available resources to achieve sustainable Child Poverty outcomes. The post-holder will ensure that research and quality programming form the basis upon which we advocate for changes in policy and practice by key duty-bearers at local, provincial and national levels. Plays a leading role in designing projects in field offices, programmes and research, including approaches to partnerships and advocacy and building field office (and partners’) capacity and reputation to deliver technically sound Child Poverty programming and policy work. S/he will also be responsible for representation and networking with donors and government (local, provincial and national), as well as key internal stakeholders from across SCI. S/he will also contribute to the development and implementation of SC’s global policies and strategies on Child Poverty, as a member of the SC community of interest on child poverty.

Eligibility:
Master’s degree in Child Poverty/Social Sciences/Agriculture or equivalent or related field and with a minimum of 3 years (2 years for GSI groups) of relevant experiences in related roles and responsibilities especially in on-farm. off-farm and entrepreneurship capacity building technical and managerial capacities.

2.Position: Technical Manager – Child Poverty – (2100001V)

> Term and Location: Fixed term; based Bardibas under Eastern Field Office (EFO)

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Technical Manager – Child Poverty is responsible for ensuring high quality child-focused programs reaching the most vulnerable and deprived and is primarily responsible for the continued development and quality of SC’s Child Poverty works under Eastern Field Office (EFO). Responsibilities include but not limited to defining strategies and thrive for learning. The position will provide technical oversight to all Child Poverty Programs and projects (under three broad sub themes – CSSP, CSL and ASST) at the Province no. 2 and 1 including municipalities in preparation. implementation and monitoring of activities planned. S/He represent child poverty theme of save the children as required at municipal, province, and national level in different forums, meetings and consultations on policy and technical issues. S/He will work in close collaboration with federal/ provincial and municipalities, partner organizations, other INGOs and UN for bringing lasting impacts in the lives of the children through the effective partnership and implementation of CPoV programs.

In addition, s/he ensures the regular monitoring of key process indicators, their alignment with the project documents; develops related training materials, and support to behaviour change communications, coordinate with relevant stakeholders for sharing of lessons learnt for consistent uptake by other stakeholders. S/he will engage in communication with donors and member countries for Child Poverty programs under her/his purview. Furthermore, s/he work in close coordination with other thematic areas of save the children.
