Accurately input and maintain electrical distribution asset information from projects or work covering: design, commissioning, construction, operation and maintenance. Analyse and interpret processes to ensure data integrity and process efficiency whilst providing advice on updating technical asset information in Western Power’s asset information systems. Engage and maintain effective working relationships with key internal customers and counterparts in operations on aspects of asset data quality.

To be successful in this position you will need to have completed tertiary qualifications in Spatial Information Systems or equivalent and have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years advanced technical experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software for data management purposes, preferably in an electrical networks business;
  • Must have proficiency in the majority of the following key computer systems; ESRI ArcGIS 10.x (ArcFM experience highly desirable), Ellipse (Mincom Desktop), Hansen HUB;
  • Solid technical working knowledge of primary electrical assets;
  • Sound knowledge of data management and asset information systems;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for customer contact;
  • Effective time and task priority management skills;
  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite of applications.
