Genese’s core technical team resides in Nepal and provides consultancy and support worldwide for Cloud Solution.
We are looking for a person in the position of Finance Officer who is passionate about big changes happening in the world of business and technology and how they would positively impact our lives. We would like the new team member to be a part of the everyday decision and action to bring into reality the large vision of our company, i.e. to be the no. 1 cloud solution provider consultancy firm in Nepal and increase our global footprint.

Job Specification

• Bachelor in Management of at least 4 years or MBA with experience of at least 2 years
• Experience of Accounting software (Tally) is must
• Good communication skills and ability to work under minimum supervision and hectic work environment
• Overall knowledge of various other activities conducted by Finance Department
• Hands on knowledge of XLS, Word, Access and PowerPoint
• Nepali typing will be an advantage

Job Description
• To liaise with the Finance Manager and Director in Kathmandu and be responsible for overall central account management
• Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Preparation of sales invoices as per the requirement of the company
• Review the advance settlement and payments documents to ensure that the documents are in compliance with Genese rules and regulations
• VAT, TDS payment and return filing of group including Company registrar returns and documents
• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations
• Checks petty cash payments and periodically reconciles petty cash balances
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Update internal systems with financial data
• Assist with budget preparation
• Dealing and reporting with Banks/ NRB/ DOI
• Work closely with the finance and accounts department of central office for efficient operations
• Review the travel expenses report of staffs and make the payment accordingly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports or as per need
• Ensures that the books of accounts are up to date at all times, orderly, well kept, and readily available for reference and audit, when required
