The Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre’s vision is to be the focal point for all community recreation in Greater Narrogin and is managed by YMCA WA. Our heated indoor 25m lap and leisure pool is perfect for swimming in all seasons. The leisure pool has beach entry and plays host to a range of aquatic group fitness classes and swimming lesson and is open from 5.30am to 9.00pm. As such, the successful candidate will have flexibility in availability.

The Role:

YMCA WA is currently recruiting casual Lifeguards located at Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre. This position requires you to work as part of a team committed to the goals and mission of the YMCA WA that actively fosters community participation and involvement.

As a Lifeguard you will be required to have a complete knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safety on poolside and in the plant room. Upmost is supervising bathers and ensuring all pool users adhere to site-specific orders and instructions and ensure proper supervision of children.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current and valid National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check
  • HLTAID003 Apply Senior First Aid, current CPR
  • Current Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Licence
  • Bronze medallion
  • Demonstrated strong focus on safety and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Be proactive and highly customer focused
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
