The Centre

Cook & Philip Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre is  located in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The facility has 50m indoor pool, a heated leisure pool and hydrotherapy pool. The Centre has a well-equipped health club, as well as a Group Fitness room, air gym and Spin room.

The Role

Join us in teaching swimming and water safety skills to infants, toddlers, children and adults. We pride ourselves in delivering quality swimming and water safety lessons in a fun, safe and effective manner. The ideal candidate will have a complete knowledge and understanding of all aspects of teaching swimming and water safety as well as ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all students.

About You

Be bright, cheerful and encouraging when instructing and dealing with class participants. Develop good relationships with students, parents and user group and be able to resolve minor problems. Ability to work independently with small groups of children and or adults.

Key Accountabilities

Plan learn to swim classes prior to delivery. Work within the structure of the program timetable. Provide support and relevant information to clients. Set-up and pack-up all swim school equipment needed for lessons. Conduct learn to swim lessons and programs which meet the individual needs of participants. Liaise with other instructors and participants in order to continually improve service delivery.
